Dr. Ruma Anand is a graduate of the College of Dentistry of New York University, one of the best dental schools in the country. To continuously improve her clinical skills, she attends extensive continuing education programs in different fields, including cosmetic dentistry, orthodontics (Invisalign), and dental implants.
Since graduating, she has attended programs in various prestigious institutions, such as the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey, Rutgers School of Dentistry, and American Academy of Implant Dentistry. Through training, she stays on top of the latest breakthroughs in dentistry.
Other than competence in the field, she has a genuine concern for her patients. She takes time to listen to their problems and considers every detail of their issue, factoring it in to her diagnosis and prescription. Then, she makes sure patients are aware of and understand the treatment options available to them. This way, patients make a well-informed decision about their oral health.
With her gentle touch, she helps apprehensive patients relax. She also makes sure that nervous ones, especially children, are comfortable in the dental chair. With her friendly staff, she prepares a positive experience for her patients.
Outside of the dental office, she enjoys skiing, playing pool, and spending precious time with her husband and daughter, Samaira.
Stacy was born and raised on Staten Island. She received her degree in dental hygiene at New York University College of Dentistry. She has 18+ years experience in the dental industry and takes pride in treating and educating her patients about best oral hygiene practices. She customizes visits to meet each patient’s individual needs.
As a recent breast cancer warrior, Stacy is living her life to the fullest. Crossing things off her bucket list includes road trips, traveling abroad, and visiting unique venues with her sister. She loves trying new restaurants, reading, and is an animal lover.
Stacy is grateful to be part of the team and looks forward to getting to know more about our patients while helping improve the community’s oral health and wellbeing.
Welcome to our practice! I have been in the field for over 15 years and am proud to call Midjersey my second home. Dentistry is my passion and am happy to answer your questions, plan for appointments, help resolve concerns and make your visits a positive experience. It is important to me that each of you enjoy a feeling of ease and confidence in our office. Leeann is our patients’ greatest advocate and goes above and beyond to make every experience at Midjersey Smiles a great one. Leeann has been in the field since 2020 and is well versed in all aspects of dentistry and is skilled at both chair side procedures as well as any front desk responsibilities! She is an avid learner and excels at any challenge that comes her way. Leeann’s love for learning and her commitment to her craft has helped her grow into the superstar that she is today. In her free time, Leean loves to spend time with her loved ones and her 2 cats. She enjoys cooking, baking and going on hikes.
Carmen is one of our certified dental assistants. With 20 years of experience, she is cheerful and compassionate, making each patient feel comfortable in our operatories. Her extensive knowledge and calming personality help to make patients feel at ease, during and after their dental procedures. Outside of dentistry she is a devoted mother of 2 and she enjoys spending time with her family.
Elizabeth is our certified dental assistant. With 10 years of experience, Elizabeth finds satisfaction in helping patients realize their dream of a beautiful, healthy new smile, and a renewed sense of confidence. Patient care is her top priority. Outside of dentistry, she is an amazing mother of 2 and she enjoys being outside and traveling.
